Solar4Shrimp · Aquaculture · Vietnam
Around 220,000 small shrimp farms in the Mekong Delta run aerators and pumps around the clock. After feed, electricity is their biggest cost. Solar4Shrimp, our solar-as-a-service offer for aquaculture, turns that cost into a competitive advantage.

The concept
Solar4Shrimp is Blueberry Energy's solar-as-a-service offer for aquaculture in Vietnam.
Shrimp farmers in the Mekong Delta run aerators, pumps and water treatment day and night. Electricity is one of their biggest costs.
Solar panels, financing and technical support in a lease or service model, with no upfront investment for the farmer.
Steady aeration improves survival rates and yield. Verified clean power paves the way to sustainability certification for export.

The rollout
Step by step, designed for growth and impact.
Together with cooperatives, agricultural authorities and development organisations we select suitable farms.
Each system is tailored to the farm's energy needs and financed through impact capital, grants and bank loans.
Local technicians install the systems. Farmers learn operation, maintenance and how to use energy efficiently.
We monitor generation remotely, provide evidence for certification and connect farmers with buyers who pay more for sustainable produce.
